The FlourWorld Museum donates flour to Tafel Schwerin! Flour With a Mission, because World Flour Day Is Giving Day
Being dedicated to local sustainable action, the FlourWorld Museum is proud to be a partner of the Schaalsee UNESCO biosphere reserve. Through this partner network, we are connected to the Bobzin Organic Farm in northwestern Mecklenburg, Germany.
Their artisanally handcrafted organic flours bake into delicious breads and the farm is committed to sustainability and quality. That’s why we decided to use this locally grown and milled product for our donation for this year’s World Flour Day.
The donation will be handled by the Tafel Schwerin food distribution program, offering many needy people good, solid nutrition.
The Tafel distributes food donations to social facilities and pick-up points. In children’s facilities and soup kitchens, donated food is used to prepare breakfasts and lunches. It is only thanks to the support of the community and the willingness of others to share, that the Tafel can supply its customers with food every week.
Our heartfelt thanks go to all involved parties for their invaluable assistance. Why not help us give them a hand? You’ll find it most rewarding.
